3 – Alvaro Negredo
Next 3 matches: C Palace (h), Everton (a), Tottenham (h)
An alternative option. If you’ve got a couple of free transfers or have decided to play your wildcard this week, Middlesbrough’s Alvaro Negredo is well worth a look. He is incredibly cheap at £6.9m, that £6.1m cheaper than Aguero, and swapping the Argentinean for the Spaniard would allow for you to make a huge upgrade elsewhere. Boro have Palace at home for their next game and then two tricky fixtures, but with the way Negredo has started the season you would not bet against him scoring in any of those matches.
If Negredo can continue form like this then you can expect his price to continue to increase, he’s already gone up £0.4m and as Middlesbrough’s focal point in attack you would expect him, as long as he’s fit, to continue to score. He might not score as regularly as Aguero but he does look to be a cheap and reliable option that will chip in with points every now and then.
