3 – Mario Mandzukic
This would be a very shrewd piece of business from West Ham if they manage to strike a deal. The Juventus striker is a very talented player that can also play on the wings. He is nearing the end of his career (30) but he still has a lot to offer and has been a regular in the Juventus team this season – that in itself speaks volumes of his ability. He has an incredible amount of top level experience with more than 70 caps for Croatia and 29 goals. According to The Sun West Ham have joined Besiktas in the race to sign the experienced forward and his arrival would ease the goalscoring burden off of Andy Carroll. They could play together because of Mandzukic’s versatility, but ultimately it would be great to have an alternative to Carroll, whose fitness cannot be relied upon.
