It’s fair to say that most neutral fans were pleased to see Chelsea lose their unbeaten run this weekend, making the Premier League title a little more competitive this season.
Jose Mourinho has never won at St James Park and Chelsea would have beaten their own personal unbeaten record if they managed to avoid defeat against Newcastle. It was going to be a pressured game for Chelsea, no matter how much Mourinho tried to dampen that before kick-off.
The pressure told in the end as Chelsea lost to Newcastle despite many backing them to remain unbeaten all season. Arsenal fans were the happiest to hear about the defeat as it meant their Invincibles team in 2003-04 remained the only English side to maintain an unbeaten record for a whole season. Here’s how Twitter reacted:
This Arsenal fan looks like he had a bit too much time on his hands after Chelsea were beaten on Saturday. pic.twitter.com/mG4jbCT1f5

Even Fabregas knew they wouldn’t go unbeaten https://t.co/rGcdLRbtqx

Knew Chelsea wouldn't go through the whole season unbeaten but they'll still win the league.
