Chelsea dropped points away from home this weekend with a surprising goalless draw with Sunderland, which meant Manchester City cut the Blues lead to just six points with their victory against Southampton.
Blues fans were largely unimpressed by the performance, although some did remain positive, but the general atmosphere on Twitter was disappointment as many felt that Jose Mourinho’s men should have secured all three points against Gus Poyet’s inferior side. Criticism was aimed towards many players, whilst Diego Costa also picked up a suspension for the mid week game with another yellow card.
Many fans point out that Chelsea are still undefeated this season but with two points dropped, there were gloomy faces all around.
Finishes 0-0. Only the 3rd time this season #Cfc have dropped points in the league & 1st time they haven’t scored. Strong from #Safc

A draw for Chelsea. Can’t win them all. Not a bad result. Poor performance from many players. #CFC

ManU wins 3 in a row.. ‘they’re on fire’.. Hmm then I guess Chelsea’s 20 match unbeaten streak means ‘they’ve turned to ash’ #BPL #CFC

Not enough fluidity between offensive trio and the striker, plus not enough service from Fabregas. Shame Ramires wasn’t given a chance #CFC

Chelsea are good but repetitive teams don’t always have the same. Needs a lil refresh #cfc #Chelsea
