According to report in the media, Arsenal has decided to keep Spanish defender Nacho Monreal beyond next season amidst speculations linking him with a move away from the Emirates.
The Spanish international has not been in his best of form this term due to injuries he sustained earlier this season. These have led to conceding so many goals and even losing their last three Premier League features.
There have been reports claiming that Barcelona has been showing a keen interest in signing the Arsenal defender, now things now look like both clubs won’t proceed with completing this transfer business.
However, it has now been confirmed that Arsenal has decided to keep him and offer him an improved contract this week.
Arsenal are also looking at letting go some players with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Danny Welbeck and Petre Cech which seems could be the reason they are willing to keep the 33-year-old defender to avoid worrying about replacing players.
Meanwhile, the Gunners will be looking at hiring more players in summer to help improve their performance next term either with or without the exit of Nacho Monreal with manager Unai Emery been handed a whopping £40m to sign new players.
