2 – Leroy Sane
Manchester City will reportedly rival Manchester United for the signing of highly rated 20-year old Leroy Sane.
The young German forward who has been tipped to become one of Europe’s best has just been selected for the Germany squad this summer, with Pep Guardiola’s imminent arrival they are likely to step up their pursuit for the young star in the next few weeks before the tournament starts and interest potentially increases. City have been watching Sane for several months and it has been reported they are weighing up a formal bid; City will hope to avoid a bidding war by moving early to secure his signature with several other clubs interested.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with the £30million rated star and there will certainly be a number of admirers watching him this summer for Germany.
Sane who has had a red hot season would look to secure a first team place if a move to City was completed; he would certainly have competition so we look at how he rivals against another young star at City, Raheem Sterling. Sane has had one of his best seasons in his early career has scored 0.32 goals per 90 minutes compared to Sterling’s 0.28. He also comes out on top for assists with 0.24 which is very impressive for such a young talent, Sterling is once again second on 0.09. Creating chances are key for an attacking player; Sterling has managed to score a very high 1.64 whilst Sane has just created 1.09. Key passes can lead to goals for your team; Sterling has managed 1.55 which is quite ahead of Sane who scores 0.85. Playing in one of fastest leagues in the world Sterling has managed 51.90% successful take ons whilst Sane is narrowly behind on 46.56%.
