Arsenal goalkeeper making a beeline for Stamford Bridge
Petr Cech will be Chelsea’s sports director since Michael Emenalo resigned in 2017, according to report in Sky Sports News.
The Arsenal goalkeeper, who turned 37 on Monday, reported he will resign from playing after next Wednesday’s Europa League final in Azerbaijan against his previous – and future – managers at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea has been without a technical director since Emenalo’s renunciation in November 2017, as director Marina Granovskaia has assumed most of his old obligations since he withdrew the club.
It isn’t clear at this stage precisely what obligations Cech will have, however, he could share a portion of the weight as far as enlistment and overcoming any issues between the board and the directors.
Cech stayed demure via web-based networking media, emphasizing that he will settle on a choice after the Europa League final match in Baku.
“Regardless of the news today as I had just said to everyone previously, I’ll settle on a choice about my future after the last game. Presently my sole center is to win the Europa League with Arsenal,” Cech tweeted.
The club has made the minimal mystery of their longing to greet back the ‘brilliant age’ which incorporated any semblance of John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Cech.
