Football stars up and down the country, as well as fans from numerous clubs, have praised Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard after he announced he would leave the Reds at the end of the season.
Gerrard has called time on his 16-year career at Liverpool and will be moving to a club abroad, after stating he could not line-up against the Merseyside outfit. He is widely expected to join the MLS, with David Beckham’s former side LA Galaxy believed to be the favourites.
With almost 700 appearances for Liverpool and 114 for England, Gerrard is a player that will be difficult to replace.
Wish Steven Gerrard all the very best for the future. He’s been a credit to himself, his country, Liverpool FC and the game of football!

Whatever your opinion on him, Gerrard is one of the best players & leaders to play for one of the World’s biggest Clubs. Sad end of an era.

Gerrard to leave #LFC in the summer. Probably the classiest & best English player of my lifetime (and Marchisio’s idol).

Hard for the Steven Gerrard news to sink in. Amazing servant to Liverpool, arguably the best of all time. http://t.co/KBEPL3caGh
