Jurgen Klopp has already signed Joel Matip and Lorius Karius from the Bundesliga, but according to reports, he wants to make four more signings from that league – and that doesn’t include Mario Gotze, who declared his intentions to stay in Munich previously.
1 – Niklas Sule
Reports suggest that Liverpool may be in the market for Hoffenheim central defender Niklas Sule. Klopp may certainly be looking for a new defender amid rumours that Mamadou Sakho has been sacked by the club. Sule is held in high regard across Europe, although he has not been through the most successful of seasons in the Bundesliga this campaign. Sule is extremely tall, 195cm to be exact, and uses his body well for a defender, blocking and winning aerial challenges aplenty. 20-year-old Sule may currently lack consistency, but his age and physical stature show he has the potential to evolve into one of Europe’s best. Like many of Klopp’s transfer targets, Sule is young, but has already played at a high level. This mixture of youth and experience shows Klopp’s ambition to build a really strong squad for the future and Sule would be a fine addition to that.
