Newcastle United fans have been coming to terms this morning with the news that unfenced manager Alan Pardew is a candidate for the Premier League Manager Of The Month Award.
The Magpies boss was favourite to be sacked three weeks ago after a poor string of results but after two league wins and a draw, Pardew is considered to be the favourite by some for the award. He’ll battle with Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho, West Ham’s Sam Allardyce and Hull City’s Steve Bruce for the honour.
Numerous Newcastle fans have been forced to eat a substantial portion of humble pie but not every member of the Toon army is convinced just yet.
