Arsenal put in a truly dominant display on Saturday evening as they made light work on Chelsea and won 3-0 after a really impressive first half display.
1 – Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez baby, Alexis Sanchez oooo-ooooo. The Chilean had come under criticism for his performance as a lone centre-forward and when he was selected there again against a deep-lying Chelsea defence, eyebrows were certainly raised by many fans. But he proved them all wrong and Arsene Wenger right. The forward’s tenacity and desire forced Gary Cahill into an error and then Alexis showed his quality in front of goal by chipping Courtois in clinical fashion. He also played a big part in the third goal, making an intelligent run before clipping it nicely to Mesut Ozil who volleyed the final nail into Chelsea’s coffin. On paper, Alexis has all the attributes to succeed in that position but finally we are now starting to see that come together on the pitch.
