Aston Villa had a season to forget last season. Remi Garde couldn’t do enough to keep them up and he finally left the club by mutual consent. New boss, and Champions League winner Roberto Di Matteo will take charge of Villa next season after being announced as their new manager, we take a look at four deals that could be completed in the coming weeks.
1 – Aaron Tshibola
According to reports Aston Villa are monitoring the highly-rated Reading star Aaron Tshibola ead of a potential move for the midfielder this summer.
The youngster made his breakthrough for the Royals last season and his very impressive performances have caught they eye of many teams around England and Scotland.
Steve Clarke put the 21-year-old into the first team with the youngster repaying his faith, the youngster joined Reading academy at just 13 and signed his first professional deal with the club in March 2011.
Tshibola has since gone on to play 13 games in the Reading first team scoring 0 goals. In January 2015 Tshibola secured a loan move away to get some crucial experience under his belt, he managed to play 23 games for Hartlepool. Tshibola has also represented England at u-18 level after promising performances. Injuries have restricted his recent progression.
Aston Villa are very interested in the highly-rated midfielder and a bonus for the club is he knows the Championship well. The England-born midfielder is a huge presence in the middle of the park standing over 6ft 3′.
Tshibol has three years left on deal having penned in September last year, a reasonable fee will be demanded by the Royals who will be desperate to keep hold of their academy graduate. Villa are not the only club interested though as Norwich, Crystal Palace and Celtic are all set to battle it out for Reading midfielder in a tug of war type transfer battle.
