According to The Sun, Bonucci has accepted a contract worth £130,000 per-week and will join Chelsea if the two clubs can agree a fee. Bonucci has been a rock in Juventus’ success and has been at the heart of the team for many seasons. Bonucci has been with the club since 2010 after his arrival from Bari, he has gone on to play 198 games for the club scoring 12 goals. Bonucci has also represented Italy 59 times scoring three goals. He appears to be very loyal to Juventus so it would be a surprise if he were to jump ship at this stage in his career. There are very few defenders that are world class at the moment but Bonucci can certainly be considered that. Despite his ability, he is yet to prove himself in another domestic league and aged 29, it could be a good time for him to move out of his comfort zone and test himself in England. Whether or not he will do that is another matter and we will have to wait and see.
