It was only a few years ago that Jack Wilshere was being dubbed as an Arsenal and England legend for the future. Since then, the young midfielder has failed to realise his potential and now this weekend we have seen him linked to West Ham United.
That’s quite a fall from grace for Wilshere. In truth, I think these stories aren’t realistic. Unless Wilshere is causing real trouble behind the scenes, he should stay at Arsenal and realise his huge potential. Other fans aren’t backing Wilshere quite so much, they appear to have lost patience in the midfielder, who was once again caught smoking last week. Wenger has backed the player though, suggesting he is one of the hardest working players in the squad, first in at training and last out.
Even West Ham fans don’t seem that excited about the prospect of Wilshere in an West Ham shirt. People seem to have short memories, Wilshere made a good start to the season for both club and country.
Here’s how Twitter is reacting to the quite bizarre, but slightly believable rumour:
I don't respect any Arsenal fans who want to sell Jack Wilshere. Stupid.

Wilshere is clearly too good for West Ham. I think Ramsey would fit in well though, could be a good option if Mark Noble got injured.

Wilshere is going to have a solid career at West Ham tbf.
Should enjoy playing for his boyhood club.

Rumours of Wilshere to West Ham are absolute madness. Wouldn't want him anyway. Cannot stand the little cretin.

Don't worry, Wilshere won't go to West Ham… Heard the nearest Shisha place is terrible.

Actually seen "hope it happens" in regards to Wilshere being sold to West Ham. Like what has he done wrong? He was good this season. Fools

Arsenal fans want Wilshere sold, don't rate him. Hypocrites wanted him as captain not so long ago.
