Sunday’s are nobody’s favourite day of the week, and that applies none the more so than for Tottenham and Everton fans. Of four games following European commitments on a Thursday evening, Everton have won just one from four games, whilst Spurs have fared even worse, with two wins from six. Even more worrying for Spurs is that 4 of their defeats after European games have come at White Hart Lane – the destination for Sunday’s mid-table encounter.
After both teams clinched places in the knockout stages of the Europa League, all is well in the chase for Europe’s least most favourable competition. But interestingly, Everton haven’t lost in five games in the league – with their last defeat coming against Manchester United in early October – and so the form guide appears to lean towards the Toffees with Spurs having lost earlier this month to Stoke by two goals to one, in a scoreline that Spurs have incurred in consecutive Premier League matches following Newcastle also taking three points from North London.
But it may be worth noting Everton have only won one from four against London sides this season and surely Spurs are due a home win – but anyway, here’s what the fans think ahead of Sunday’s showdown…warning: concerned spurs supporters!
Spurs fans running on to pitch to get it abandoned, they must be desperate to beat Everton on Sunday

James McCarthy going off injured for Everton. With Barry already injured, this is good news for us with Sunday in mind.

Another poor Spurs performance from a Botch Poch team selection, thinking more about losing to Everton on Sunday than winning tonight.
