Liverpool’s season went from bad to worse this weekend as they suffered a shock defeat at the hands of Alan Pardew’s Newcastle United, who secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Ayoze Perez.
In all the midsts of frustration, one man was isolated for criticism once again after another less than stellar performance from £16m striker Mario Balotelli. The Italian failed to find the net once again and returned late for kick-off in the second-half, all of which accumulated in frustrated Liverpool fans across the globe.
That said, there was also a lot of anger vented at manager Brendan Rodgers as the pressure begins to mount upon the Irishman.
Can someone tell me what Rodgers was smoking when he thought balotelli and lambert can contribute

Balotelli brings nothing to the game or the Liverpool team..

Balotelli put more effort into his front flip from the tackle than he has put in all season

Rodgers could have bought Sanchez, Eto’o and Remy and instead chose Lambert, Markovic and Balotelli #LFCProblems

Rickie Lambert has to be worth a go. Balotelli looks less interested than normal this afternoon and that’s saying something! #LFC

Mario Balotelli’s chance conversion rate over those 20 EPL games is just 2.1%.
