3 Better Alternatives To Lukaku That Chelsea Should Sign This Summer

Morata is a player that was repeatedly linked with Chelsea last summer, but Real Madrid opted to keep hold of him. The 24-year-old is at a stage of his career where he needs to be playing regular football and he isn’t really getting that at Madrid, with just 11 La Liga starts (and 10 sub apps). Despite this limited amount of game time, he has excelled in the team, scoring 12 league goals.

His quality is there for all to see. Aged 24 Morata would surely be open to moves abroad if he were to be offered more regular game time. Should Costa leave, I think Conte would make Morata his main man. He wouldn’t come cheap, but I would suggest he would be cheaper than Lukaku and I would suggest that he is more suited to Chelsea’s system then Romelu, therefore making him a wiser investment.
