Liverpool are flying at the moment, but Jurgen Klopp needs to make sure the team keeps up this momentum to give them any chance of being in the title mix come May. Here’s three things he needs to do to keep them competitive.
1 – Keep things fresh
Hard working style can lead to injuries and Liverpool cannot afford another mid-season collapse fuelled by injuries to key players. There’s a good squad at the club and Klopp needs to rotate tactically to ensure that he takes good care of the squad for the entire season. Although the lack of European football will help this aspect massively, there could still be problems over the winter if the squad is not managed properly. Hard working forwards like Firmino and Mane are doing the job excellently, but their bodies may not be prepared to perform like that twice a week for the entire season. With that style of play working so well, it’s important Klopp keeps that, but interchanges the players within the system.
