4 Arsenal Forwards Everton Should Try To Sign Ahead Of The Transfer Deadline

Everton have recently agreed a fee of £45million for Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, but their spending isn’t set to end there, with Ronald Koeman reportedly still interested in adding another forward to the squad.

Despite adding Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez this summer, Koeman probably rightly feels that his attack still lacks something after the £80million sale of Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.

Top quality forwards are hard to find these days, but at Arsenal, they are overloaded and Wenger has admitted he is looking to sell players before the window shuts – Everton could potentially grab themselves a bargain with four possible signings. In this article we take a look at all four and who would be the best.

Everton are said to be actively pursuing a deal for Danny Welbeck, after failing to convince Giroud to join. According to The Mirror, who cite some reports from Italy (huh?), Everton could lodge a £30million bid for Welbeck in the later stages of the transfer window – an offer Arsenal may find hard to turn down considering their depth in attack. Whilst Wenger would probably like to sell other players, he is unlikely to stand in Welbeck’s way if more first team football is on offer at Everton. Welbeck would be a solid addition and could reunite with Rooney in attack. He’s a versatile player and a very hard worker. The negative is he doesn’t score an awful lot of goals, his finishing isn’t great, but he makes up for it in other departments – he’d be a solid addition.
