4 Transfers Arsenal Still Need To Complete This Month To Win The Title

It is pretty clear that the time is up for Mathieu. He wants first team football and Arsenal cannot give him that. The Gunners have probably been holding on to the Frenchman until Laurent Koscielny returns, just to make sure the club have enough in defensive areas. Now, with Koscielny set to return, Debuchy is no longer needed. Chambers can cover at right back, as can Franics Coquelin. Arsenal also have Carl Jenkinson coming back in a couple of months so there is enough cover at right back. Personally I wouldn’t mind keeping him around in the meantime and I have a feeling Wenger may want to until January, which could be a wise decision whilst the club are in the League Cup and to help negotiate a busy winter schedule, but the player looks like he wants to leave and there’s no point keeping an unhappy player at the club. It may be in Arsenal’s best interest to offer Debuchy out on loan, with an emergency recall option. Arsenal have already endured a defensive crisis this season (we’ve played one game), so there should always be a plan in place should another one occur.
