Nathaniel Clyne faces a big year ahead of him, as the former Southampton man battles it out with Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker to earn a starting berth in the England set-up for the World Cup in Russia next summer.
Clyne is currently playing catch-up in this battle, with Walker excelling for Spurs, but continued speculation that Walker could move on from North London may increase Clyne’s chances as Walker may have to endure a settling in period at his new side.
