An off the wall suggestion. Although he is never fit, if Sturridge does manage to find fitness and consistency, he is one of the best strikers in the league. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp appears to prefer Roberto Firmino and Divick Origi as central options as Sturridge appears reluctant to adapt to the German’s gegenpressing approach. It might be overly ambitious to expect Liverpool to sell to a Premier League rival, especially considering they recently sold Cristian Benteke too, but it’s worth a go at this stage. A fit Sturridge is a better striker than Giroud and any striker that Arsenal could ‘realistically’ sign. If Wenger makes a big offer soon, giving Klopp enough time to sign a suitable replacement, I think Jurgen would be tempted, although after the Luis Suarez chase, maybe the clubs owners wouldn’t be so impressed.

Aged 26 Sturridge needs to find a club that plays to his strengths and that helps him become the player he was alongside Suarez before the Uruguayan left for Spain. I think with the likes of Alexis and Ozil fuelling him Sturridge really could become a world class striker at The Emirates.
