The Ivorian is currently on duty with his country at the African Cup of Nations but that didn’t stop the 26-year-old from breaking Swansea City hearts.
The striker was pictured holding up the jersey of his new team, Manchester City, despite the fact that Swansea City had earlier quashed all rumours that a deal had been agreed between the two clubs.
Bony joined Swansea for a club-record £12m from Vitesse Arnhem in 2013 and was the Premier League’s top scorer in 2014 with 20 goals. He has scored nine times in 22 appearances this far this season.
In the last hour or so, Swansea and Manchester City have both confirmed that Bony has finalised his deal with the Citizens for a fee said to be around £28m. In spite of knowing the end was in sight for Bony, a sour taste will be left in the mouths of Swans fans after seeing their prise asset depart the Liberty in such disappointing fashion.

Very strong, but fair criticism from Swansea City to the Ivory Coast over the handling of Wilfried Bony’s transfer to Man City. #Swans #Bony

Sensational signing for Man City, getting Wilfried Bony. Just hope he plays as much as he deserves. Dzeko, him & Aguero can’t all play.
