The Most Expensive Arsenal XI In The Club’s History

RM: Jose Antonio Reyes (£17m)

Spanish winger Reyes stood as Arsenal’s most expensive signing for five years between 2004 and 2009, when his fee was surpassed by the Gunners’ capture of Arshavin, and Reyes’ career in North London was far from exceptional.

Reyes made 13 appearances during Arsenal’s unbeaten Premier League campaign in 2004 and won the FA Cup the following year but failed to establish himself as a key player despite earning plenty of opportunities during his two-years at the club.
