Bournemouth fans are looking forward to their historic first season in the Premier League- but not all of them are happy about the reported latest arrival on the South Coast.
Reports state that Everton defender Sylvain Distin will undergo a medical with The Cherries on Friday, ahead of an expected move to the Premier League new-boys.
Whilst fans agree that the signing of Distin will provide some valuable experience to the unproven side, they don’t believe that the signing is the right sort of deal for their club.
Neither do a lot of experienced journalists- but Bournemouth can take comfort in the fact that former Portsmouth, QPR and Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp believe’s Distin is a t’riffic lad.
At least there’s one positive: what’s your view on Bournemouth’s new recruit?
Not sure Distin is right for Bournemouth. They’re an expansive side and he will be targetted. Obviously a great pro to have around, though!

Distin’s experience will be of value to Bournemouth , but there’s a reason he lost his place at Everton.

Getting Sylvain Distin from Everton is a brilliant bit of business by Bournemouth, he’s got experience, pace and is a great lad.

Bournemouth has signed Distin and Atsu. Looking at Tyrone Mings from Ipswich. Good deals, all of them.

Any Bournemouth fan who thinks they’ve got a deal getting Distin hasn’t watched him the last 2 seasons
