With Eden Hazard been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer, the club has perceived Unai Emery’s favored European player Nicolas Pepe as a perfect replacement for the Belgian attacker next season.
Hazard is Zinedine Zidane’s top need and priority before this summer, as the French manager is on the look-out of improving his squad ahead of a better challenge next term.
The Belgium international who will be out of contract in 2020 and he has rejected all contract offers so far coming from Chelsea.
With Pepe said to be Chelsea’s prime target, the London club will face some stiff competition from the likes Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Manchester United to the signature of the Ivory International, who has been valued £70million by his French club.
There is no doubt that Pepe will be a great player to come replace Hazard, having proved himself by netting 19 goals this season for the Ligue 1 side.
Bayern are also said to have started talks with his agent, whilst the likes of Man United and Arsenal also keep a close eye on the attacker.
However, before advancing on a move for Pepe Chelsea will still to negotiate with FIFA to accept their trade ban offer.
