From Florence To Wembley: Spurs Fans Look Ahead To Big Games


From Florence to Wembley in the space of 3 days.

That, being the roller-coaster journey for Tottenham fans, as this evening they meet Fiorentina in the second leg of the last 32 of the Europa League before coming head-to-head with London rivals Chelsea in the Capital One Cup final on Sunday. Hardly ideal preparation for Tottenham as they bid to end their 7 year trophy hiatus.

For Mauricio Pochettino these two games will go a long way to defining his tenure at the club, and with domestic glory in sight, as well as top four aspirations, as always he’ll be in the limelight, as the critics begin sharpening their knives, awaiting team selection which is likely to decide his and his Tottenham sides fate.
The first leg saw Roberto Soldado give Tottenham the lead before Basanta levelled for the Italian outfit with score ending 1-1. Harry Kane’s omission from the starting eleven raised eyebrows, which makes squad rotation for this second leg all the more interesting with Wembley on the horizon, and it’ll be clear to see from tonight whether Sunday is more important to the manager.
However, i’m sure Spurs fans would love to win both – so for a minute lets forget the manager, lets forget fixture pile ups, and lets see what the fans think ahead of a big four days…
