Damian Martinez has managed three clean sheets in a row for Arsenal, having deputised for the injured Woijech Szczesny. The fans are now backing him to keep his place.
With the Pole returning, it is expected he will take his place back in the first team. However the fans are keen to see the Argentinian keep his place in the team after making no faults in his three recent appearances.
He was particularly impressive in aerial duels against Southampton and his distribution has been an area where many see him as stronger than Szczesny. Martinez is 22, Szczesny 24 and Ospina 26. They are all talented keepers but all very young. It will be interesting to see how this battle pans out.
Looks like Szczesny is back, but hoping martinez keeps his place. I'm all for keeping players in on merit

3 back to back clean-sheets for Martinez. He's filled in well for Szczesny and his distribution is far better imo. pic.twitter.com/wdXMlc3mKg

Martinez did well again, no need to bring Szczesny back into the team at the moment.

Don't care if Szczesny or Ospina are back, Martinez should start v Stoke.

Martinez deserves to keep his place until he makes a Szczesny-level mistake.

I don't care if Szczesny is fit or not but Martinez deserves to start against Stoke.

Martinez hasn't put a foot wrong. So far I trust him more than I did when we first brought Szczesny into the side. Positioning is perfect.
