Newcastle United’s recent run of form was ended by West Ham United this weekend, as the Hammers beat the Magpies 1-0. However, the main focal point of the game was a strange red card for Moussa Sissoko.
The Newcastle midfielder, who wore the captain’s armband for the game, was sent off after picking up two yellow cards in a matter of seconds- 46 to be precise, just eight of those while the ball was in play. It was a very bizarre incident and it didn’t take long for many to suggest foul play, believing Sissoko may have deliberately received his marching orders.
Should their be any evidence to suggest this is correct then the Football Association will take serious action- but for now we can file it under conspiracy, alongside Area 51 and Adolf Hitler living in South America after the Second World War.
Eight seconds of playing time between Sissoko’s 2 bookings at West Han today! Must be a record?

I suspect Sissoko made an Asian betting syndicate very happy with that red card #deliberate #NUFC

Sissoko should never wear the captain’s armband at Newcastle again after today

Hmm something very dodgy about the Sissoko sending off… Seemed extremely keen to go. Did he know someone with money on that?

Pathetic from sissoko, absolutely pathetic. Not what u expect from your captain #NUFC

What Sissoko did smacks of a frustrated player in a losing team who isn’t playing well. None of that applies. He must just be very thick.
