Liverpool completed their second signing of the summer today with the announcement of Danny Ings’ arrival at Merseyside, subject to a medical. Arriving on a free transfer, Ings joins Manchester City’s James Milner, another free agent, as Brendan Rodgers looks to get his business done early this season.
Ings, who scored 11 goals for relegated Burnley in his inaugural Premier League season, provides a decent option for the Reds- but fans are urging more business to be completed, as the names don’t scream out a top four finish.
Liverpool face a test to secure big names with no Champions League football to offer- so can they bring in a new Suarez like some fans want? Is the acquisition of Milner and Ings enough?
Markovic, Ings, Sturridge, Sterling… Um, bit of an unfortunate acronym. #MISS#LFC

Ings is 22 and scored 11 goals in the Premier League, don’t mind that at all. However I want us to sign another striker.

In all honestly, I’m fairly pleased about Ings. Decent young striker who’ll only get better.
