Reports: 4 Transfers Koeman Wants To Make For Everton In June

Ronald Koeman is set to become the new Everton manager after the Merseyside club managed to convince him to leave Southampton. His immediate concerns will be to improve the squad in the transfer market, paying particular attention to replacing John Stones and Romelu Lukaku – who both look likely to leave the club this summer. Here are four deals Koeman reportedly wants to complete.

1 – Scott Dann

Ronald Koeman reportedly wants to bring Dann to Everton, should, as expected, Stones leave the club in the coming months. Dann is a natural leader, aged 29 and could bring some authority to an Everton defence that has lacked stability in recent seasons. The bid for Dann is reported to be at around £15million, an amount Crystal Palace may find hard to refuse, despite the importance of the English defender to their team.

Scott is 6ft 5′ tall and a physically imposing defender that would certainly be a beneficial addition for Everton right now. Not just is Dann an authoritative defender, he also scores his fair share goals. The 29-year-old score 5 Premier League goals this season. WhoScored list his strengths as blocking the ball and concentration, whereas his weaknesses are listed as passing and tackling. Dann’s style of play is not to pass the ball too much but more too put his body on the line and clear the ball when needed, he could fit in at Everton, but only if Koeman chooses to abandon the style put in by Roberto Martinez to pass the ball out of the back.
