According to The Evening Standard, Chelsea have not given up hope of signing Brazilian and Juventus full back Alex Sandro, but they are aware that the player would need to put pressure on Juve for a deal to even be entertained. It’s clear that adding quality and depth to the clubs full back options are high on the agenda for Conte, who clearly views Sandro as a dream target. It’s very hard to see Juventus selling, especially at this stage of the window, but if the player does put in a transfer request, then it may force their hand. Chelsea must surely have some encouragement from the player to even be thinking about the possibility of this one happening.
