West Ham are set to be one of the busiest clubs in the transfer window from the Premier League. Their ambitious owners are keen to add more quality that could see them take a top four spot. Here are three updates from a Sky News reporter about West Ham’s transfer activity of late.
1 – Bid placed for Carlos Bacca
A bid has been placed for AC Milan striker, Carlos Bacca, according to reports from Italy. Bacca is a 29-year-old striker who would certainly add experience to the West Ham frontline. He’s not as prolific as some of the clubs other targets, but he does score his fair share of goals and would be an improvement on the clubs current options.

Bacca has scored 18 league goals in 38 Serie A games for an underperforming AC Milan side this season. His link-up play is a weakness, but if West Ham are just looking for a finisher, then Bacca is a decent option for them. Bacca has a good first touch and is very good off the ball, often getting into goalscoring positions. Despite his age, the 28-time capped Colombian has a good initial burst of pace to get away from defenders.
