It wasn’t a great weekend for Southampton as they lost 3-0 to defending champions Manchester City at St. Mary’s but the fans have remained positive.
The Saints lost their second-place position in the table to the Citizens and face a mammoth month in December, which continues with a trip to Arsenal in midweek. However despite failing their first real test of the season, the majority of Southampton supporters are still optimistic and pleased with the performances displayed so far.
Whether this was a blip or displays how far Southampton still have to come to battle for the Champions League spots remains to be seen- but until then, the Saints will march on.
Almost over the 0-3 result yesterday. Sad times. We’ll be back in 2nd before you know it! #marchingin#saintsfc

Yesterday’s result was a shame but at the end of the day we were just beaten by a better team. No disgrace in that. #saintsfc
