Football fans have been left baffled after it emerged Stoke City are interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri!
It truly is one of the most ridiculous links we’ve heard so far as, despite the fact I’m sure they’d love to have Shaqiri in Staffordshire, I can’t quite see why the Swiss World Cup star would turn down Inter Milan and Liverpool for the chance to play under Mark Hughes, alongside Peter Crouch.
Still, it’s led to some golden responses- including some that we can’t publish due to aggressive language. It’s ruffled a few feathers at Liverpool too, who are set to declare war on the club if Shaqiri is pinched from under their noses by the mighty Potters.
Will we get a better rumour this month?

Not sure how much truth there is in this Shaqiri to Stoke rumour, but would be a quality signing #daretodream #Shaqiri

Would love to see Shaqiri in the Premier League, and if it’s at Stoke they’ll have some of the most flamboyant wingers in the league.

Imagine if Stoke signed Shaqiri. A Swiss Victor Moses and the real Victor Moses on both wings. Devastating.

If Shaqiri goes to Stoke, Mark Hughes needs to be tried as a witch.
