Chelsea made light work of Swansea on Saturday, eventually running out 5-0 winners away from home. There was particular praise for Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa on Twitter after the game.
It was a rare poor performance from the Swans, but take nothing away from Chelsea – who showed great quality to thrash and humiliate Swansea on their own ground. At the centre of the Chelsea engine was Fabregas, he was up to his old tricks assisting goals for fun. On the end of his creativity were Costa and Oscar who managed two goals each.
The goals from Costa and assists from Fabregas made them the higher goalscorer and highest assister in the Premier League. This is some achievement from two players who were only bought this summer. It shows how good signings they were and Jose Mourinho deserves some credit for capturing the duo. Will Arsene Wenger be regretting not signing Fabregas back when he had the chance? I know that Chelsea fans are very grateful that Wenger turned down the chance.
Twitter was full of praise for the duo, even suggesting them as the best in the Premier League. Do you agree? Here’s some of the best tweets about them:
