Tottenham Hotspur look to have won the race for Ukrainian star Yevhen Konoplyanka, with reports from L’Equipe suggesting the Lilywhites have agreed a contract ahead of a free transfer.

A former target for Liverpool, Konoplyanka was part of the Dnipro side that reached the Europa League final last season, losing to Sevilla, and he is stated to be seeking a move to a club that can offer European football.
Whilst the saga is extremely complicated, with other reports stating he is set to move to Spain and sign for either Atletico Madrid or Sevilla, Spurs fans have been celebrating the possibility of the signing.
Mauricio Pochettino is targeting a major squad overhaul this summer, with numerous players set to be pushed out the exit door, and Konoplyanka is seen as the ideal addition.
Whether Spurs can complete a deal this week remains to be seen, as the variation of reports are leading to a lot of uncertainty.
Scenes when we sign Alderweireld and Konoplyanka next week. Finally.

Konoplyanka has had more Tottenham medicals than Capoue’s PL appearance for Spurs. #fact #thfc

Have lots of doubts over this Konoplyanka deal. I’ll believe it when I see him in a Spurs kit on @SpursOfficial

So apparently Spurs are close to signing Konoplyanka and Alderweireld. Both would be excellent signings. Doubt both will materialise though.
