The transfer window has slammed shut, and many fans have been left underwhelmed due to the lack of last minute activity at their club. The of excitement which normally surrounds this day has seen many name today as the worst deadline day ever. Do you agree?
There was some big money moves on deadline day. Andre Schurrle joined Wolfsburg for around £26million with Juan Cuadrado joining Chelsea for a similar fee. But both of these deals were anticipated days before the deadline. The lack of surprise high-profile deadline day deals meant fans were extremely underwhelmed by the day as a whole.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and many other clubs were not involved in any incoming transfers during the day. All seem satisfied with their current squads having made progress in the last few weeks.
Those who will be most disappointed with today will have been the people who set the day aside purely for it being deadline day. They will feel like a day has been wasted, and they’re not going to get this day back. Here’s how the fans reacted on Twitter to the day’s events:
Such a boring deadline day that Matt Law has resorted to throwing scrabble tiles up in the air & seeing what comes up pic.twitter.com/e9EaSVko75

This #DeadlineDay is so boring that the only lifeline the Brit press is hanging on to is a conjured up Varane rumour. Flattering.

This #DeadlineDay is worse than any of @piersmorgan tweets!

If the only thing worse than transfer deadline day is people moaning about transfer deadline day, I'm the worst entity on earth.

If Flamini leaves, even on loan, then this Deadline Day immediately goes from the most boring, to the best one ever.
