Football stars across England have been praising former-Arsenal striker Thierry Henry today after he announced his retirement following a trophy-laden 20-year career.
The best years of his career came at Arsenal, where he finished as the clubs all-time leading goalscorer with a monumental haul of 226 goals, as well as 93 assists. Henry is now cast in bronze as a statue outside the club’s Emirates Stadium in North London and is fondly remembered by fans in the Premier League.
However it’s not just the fans that remember Henry’s talents, as current Arsenal players have also praised the footballing legend. There’s also messages from one of Henry’s new Sky Sports team-mates and a current Liverpool striker, which shows the influence Henry had on football.

Can only compliment Thierry Henry on a fantastic career. Pity they don't see it like that in France. He was special. Thanks for the memories
