Liverpool currently occupy fourth spot in the Premier League but still have work to do to secure Champions League football next season. If they’re to ensure Manchester United and Arsenal don’t overtake them, they’ll need to do these five things.
Stop dropping points to lower teams
Liverpool tend to perform well in big matches against sides in the top-end of the Premier League but the same cannot be said for their displays against lower-tier sides; with the Reds suffering defeats against the likes of Bournemouth, Burnley, Swansea and others.
What’s most concerning for Jurgen Klopp’s men is that all their games after this weekend’s Merseyside derby are clashes were the Reds will be dubbed as favourites- and that’s where they’ve come unstuck numerous times this season.
If they’re to keep their position in the top-four, that needs to change.
