Southampton continued their sensational run to the start of the season with a two-nil victory over Leicester City at St Mary’s, which kept them in the running for a Champions League place.
It was a difficult game for the Saints and they took their time to break the deadlock, until Ronald Koeman introduced the striker he spent £12m on this summer and watched him score two goals in four minutes to seal three points. Kasper Schmeichel was helpless to both finishes, as Saints fans praised another in-form player.
With the Saints squad full of stars, can they keep it up? Cue numerous January transfer links and a lot of Liverpool jokes.
